 User Interface addon
Are any of you guys/gals (looks at V ) use an addon for a different UI. My screen is very cluttered now when we raid and was wondering if you could suggest one. I've had a go at NUI, whilst being quite good, i couldnt get omen and recount to work with it, there is a separate addon for it but only lets you see one at a time, Also there was no way i could arrange everything how i wanted, or anything for that matter. Cheers

 Re: User Interface addon
Hi Ash, Kang had a nice post about her UI but I think we have lost that post.
I use xperl, bartender and a buff bar(cant remember name), I have reduced my raid frame size and have it plonked on the left of my screen with my info & target info under my char. I have most of my action bars underneath my info bar at a reduced size using bartender with on action bar position to the right of my char. This is normally my oh shit bar with pots, CD's etc so they are easy to click on if for some reason I get my fingers in twist with my bindings as my mouse normal hovers around there if I'm on Sharm.
With my healer its slightly different I use healbot and disable the xperl raid bars otherwise I would have too much on the screen.
I will post a screenie at some point tonight. Maybe it would be good to see how others have theirs setup.

 Re: User Interface addon
Ohh I love UIs! My first tip would be to go into video settings -> resolution -> then check off 'use UI scale'. Then you can drag the slider above back and forth to minimize your UI until it fits you and your screen.
I'll take some new screens of my UI tonight when I'm raiding.

 Re: User Interface addon
Guess who forgot to take new screenshots not only wednesday but also thursday? Anyway, I've found some screenshots that shows my more or less current UI. There's one screenshot from out of raid (on my babylock, but it's the same as on Kang), one in the middle of a raid, one with explanations to this screenie and lastly, just for fun, a screenshot of my fumbling initial attempts at making my own UI. Be warned that your eyes might take permanent damage from viewing it. Re: User Interface addon
Pitbull for configurable and placeable unit frames (normal UI shows these top left). This also replace the ones when your in a 5man. For raids ive disabled this and use Grid instead. For completly replacing the default UI i use Dominos. Very simple and effective addon. This makes the action bars moveable, sizeable etc. My mini-map is altered with Square map. For tanking and DPS this setup is good atm. But im leveling a priest atm and this setup is not optimal when healing. Keep having to turn my eyes to the left to see the unit frames of the party and loosing eyesight on the CDs. Ill have to do some research to come up with a good healing interface .

 Re: User Interface addon
bit late maybe but seeing i'm using completly different addons i thought it would be usefull to stil post here. keep in mind i'm a healer, so some thing may or may not be usefull for other roles.
to make it all look uniek and arty: for this i use something called -Btex: enables u to choose a skin for the bottem of your screen, tribel, dragons, elflke thingy, or if your realy handy with the pc custom uploaded art. -buttonface: i got different skins of this, but basicly skins for your action buttons
then the core:
-barthender4: because i like me buttons in handy places and not spread out all over the screen
-vuhDo: the core of my healer ui: think grid, ora, healbot mixed into one. there actualy a large graphic 'how to' included. ask me the url if ur interesed. It takes a bit of time to completly set it to how u like it, but once that is done ... ur set i can't go without it anymore. very handy thingy, it show who draws agro even before they get hit -> pre cast on nuke happy dps.
-decursive however i can decurse on my vuhdo, i stil keep this one on my ui. bine raiding so long with my squares on it , force of habit.
- alkano buffbars name might be misspelled, don't have wow on this pc so can't check. basicly this give's me 2 ankers. one for buffs incl timers and pasive buffs( all can be set to ur personal prefs) and one for debuffs. thirth one for weapon enchants but i've disabled that part.
-ice hud: remeber the health / mana bars in the tankspot video's? wel this is the addon. can also show, castings (including lag), time till cast 'maximise your casting -> higher dps'. global spell downtime, etc comes in different skins
the rest some other handy things i'm useing, not the full list. again i'm not on my wow pc so can't check what i'm using( to many). all but carbonite can be downloaded treu curse( curse cliënt or curse premium)
pitbull: only use it to show my own frame, my target's frame and targets target. rest is covered bye others. on some chars i stil use xperl instead of pitbull
those are the main addons that fill my screen. it isn't as clean as kang here thing but then again a healer has more things to watch. or should be watching more. i don't have an resent photo of my ui i can upload, there is an older one on my facebook but that isn't helpfull for u ^^. don't know how to upload tbh, don't have a photobucket account or something like that. if some1 could tell this dummy how to post a pic here i'll add one.

 Re: User Interface addon
I've just made a guide on uploading images here: http://www.clockwork-orange.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1329. I'd like to see yours . It's true that healers Uis are more busy than a DPSers. On my druid I use Vuhdo, and in 25mans I can barely see my screen. Admittedly, I haven't worked too much on it as I very rarely raid with the druid, but it could never be as clean as Kangs. With him I just need to know who's dead so I know when to suicide and avoid repair costs .
